Badminton Court Booking System with AI: Meet Fofo

Daifo is the badminton court booking system with a built-in AI assistant. Fofo analyses your bookings, finds lapsed players and wins them back — you approve every send.

Running a badminton centre means you already know your busiest nights by heart. What’s harder to know is everything else: which regulars quietly stopped coming last month, which time slots keep getting cancelled, whether this week is actually better than last week or just feels busier.

Most court booking systems can’t answer those questions. They record bookings — and then it’s up to you to export spreadsheets, squint at reports, and figure out what to do about it. At 10pm. After closing.

That’s why we built Fofo, the AI assistant that lives inside Daifo, our badminton court booking system. Fofo isn’t a chatbot bolted on for show. It reads your actual booking data, answers questions in plain language, and — with your approval — takes action: emailing lapsed players, creating targeted promo codes, and getting quiet courts filled again.

Here’s what that looks like in practice.

Ask about your business like you’d ask a manager

Open Fofo and type a question the way you’d ask a human. No dashboards to configure, no reports to export.

“How do this week’s bookings compare to last week?” Fofo pulls the numbers and tells you — up, down, and where the change came from.

“Analyse my booking patterns over the last month and give me suggestions.” It finds your busy and quiet times and suggests what to do about the gaps. Maybe Tuesday 2–5pm is dead and worth an off-peak rate. Maybe Thursday nights are turning people away and could carry a price premium.

“Which time slots have the highest cancellation rate?” No-shows and cancellations cluster in patterns you’d never spot manually. Fofo spots them.

It also answers the questions that tell you whether your venue is actually growing:

  • New vs returning customers — is your marketing bringing in new players, and are they coming back?
  • How far ahead people book — so you know how much notice a promotion actually needs.
  • Payment method breakdown — see how money is actually flowing through your venue.

Every answer comes from your own live booking data, not generic advice.

Find the regulars who went quiet — before they’re gone for good

Here’s the question every venue owner should be asking weekly but almost nobody does:

“Find my regular customers who usually book but have gone quiet lately.”

A regular who played every Wednesday and hasn’t booked in three weeks isn’t just a gap in your calendar — they’re probably playing somewhere else now, or about to be. Catching that in week one instead of month three is the difference between a quick “we miss you” email and a lost customer.

Fofo can also tell you:

  • Which customers hold the most credit or spend the most — so you know exactly who your VIPs are.
  • Whether a specific customer needs attention — ask “look up [name] and tell me if they need attention” and get a health check on the spot.
  • What profile tags fit a customer — so your member list stays organised without manual bookkeeping.

Then actually do something about it — in the same conversation

This is where Fofo stops being an analytics tool and starts being staff.

“Email my regular customers who usually book on this weekday but haven’t booked today.”

Fofo identifies exactly who fits, drafts the email, and shows you the full draft — recipients, subject line, body — before anything is sent. You review, edit if you want, and hit Send. One conversation, and your Wednesday regulars who skipped today have a friendly nudge in their inbox.

Or go one step further:

“Generate a 15% promo code for customers who booked last weekend but not this weekend, and draft the email.”

Fofo creates the promo code — with validity dates, limited to exactly those members, one use each — and drafts the email to deliver it. Again, nothing goes out until you approve it. A targeted win-back campaign that would take an afternoon in most systems (export list, filter spreadsheet, set up code, write email, mail merge) takes one sentence.

An unsubscribe link and your business details are added to every email automatically, so you stay compliant without thinking about it.

Built with the guardrails a real business needs

We know handing your customer data to an AI raises fair questions. So the rules are simple:

  • Fofo only sees your own venue’s data. Nothing is shared across businesses.
  • Nothing is ever sent without your approval. Every email and every promo code is shown to you first. Fofo drafts; you decide.
  • No subscription, no lock-in. New businesses get 50 free messages. After that it’s $5 for 100 messages, paid from your platform wallet — messages never expire, and there are no surprise bills. If you don’t use Fofo one month, you pay nothing that month.

Compare that to bolting a separate email marketing tool and an analytics subscription onto a basic booking system, and the maths gets very easy.

If you’re switching from another booking system

If your current system takes bookings and does nothing else, you’re doing a second unpaid job: data analyst and marketing manager, in whatever hours are left after running the venue. Fofo does that job inside the same tool that already holds all your booking data — no exports, no integrations, no learning a second platform. Your booking history, member list, and credit balances are exactly what Fofo works from.

If you’re opening a new venue

Choosing a booking system before opening day is one of the decisions you can’t easily undo — switching later means migrating members, bookings, and payment history. Choosing one with AI built in means that from your very first booking, you’re building a dataset your assistant can act on. And with 50 free messages included, Fofo costs you nothing while you’re finding your feet.

New venues also get Fofo as an onboarding guide: ask it “how do I auto-tag my members?” or any how-do-I question about Daifo, and it walks you through it. It’s the team member who read the entire manual so you don’t have to.

Try Fofo with your own booking data

Fofo is live now for every venue on Daifo — look for the cat floating in the corner of your dashboard, or open Fofo AI from the side menu.

Not on Daifo yet? Book a demo and we’ll show you Fofo answering questions about a real venue’s data — then imagine it running on yours.
